MENHIR GRASSI
The Grassi menhir is 2km away from the city centre (Mauriani area)
It is 3.3m tall and 50cm/21cm wide
In 1910 the monolith was laying on the ground and was put back in its original position in 1953

MENHIR CROCE GRANDE STAUROTOMEA
The Croce Grande menhir, located near the local Sanctuary, is 1.58m tall
In 1942 it was 4.10m tall and was damaged and eventually broken as people removed it looking for a legendary treasure located beneath it. The name Staurotomea derives from ancient Greek and means big cross.
